The Most Powerful Raspberry Pi Now Has 8 GB of RAM

Raspberry Pi Foundation Releasing new 64-bit OS

As per the new Raspberry Pi Foundation has announced that it has doubled the maximum amount of RAM which is available in Raspberry Pi from 4 GB to 8 GB and the new device is with a selling price of $ 75. Also to take advantage of the 8 GB RAM, Foundation also released a new 64-bit version of OS as beta released. The new Raspberry Pi 4 was launched in June last year with 4 GB RAM and now it has the same ARM-based CPU, and HDMI, USB 3 and Ethernet ports. 

The capacity of 8 GB RAM is a lot if we consider the size and price of it. Also this year many smartphones released this year with enough capacity for an entry level gaming PC. Also Raspberry Pi Foundation mentioned that this additional memory will help programmers to compile large pieces of software, Help to run heavy server loads and also it is having capacity to open more browser tabs at once and We are sure that it will not take long time to reach for large community for interesting uses. 

In order to take full advantage of this 8 GB RAM capacity, The foundation is also releasing an operating system with 64-bit version of its Raspbian Operating System in earlier as beta and now it is renamed to Raspberry Pi OS. In the current version Linux based 32-bit kernel which means it can not fully use 8 GB RAM. If you don’t want to use the beta version then you can also use some other 64-bit OS for the Raspberry Pi 4 i.e Ubuntu and Gentoo

Apart from this new 8 GB model, Other models available with 2 GB and 4 GB RAM for $ 35 and $ 55 respectively.
